Chris is a Kripalu-trained yoga teacher who focuses on helping students regulate emotions, improve focus, and build sustainable mind–body awareness. Her classes emphasize self-acceptance, non judgment, and practical tools that students can apply both on and off the mat.

As a native New Yorker and proud member of the LGBTQ community, Chris creates welcoming, inclusive spaces where students can move at their own pace and feel supported in their practice. She integrates breathwork, mindful movement, visualization, and gentle self-Reiki into her sequencing to support the nervous system, build strength, and ground.
Her study of systems like astrology and human design as well as yogic philosophy informs her class themes and timing—not as predictive tools, but as frameworks that help guide intention, structure, and reflection. For Chris, yoga isn’t about touching your toes — it’s about coming home to your True self.
Questions. Answers.
Go to grounding pose?
Any variation of Pigeon. It’s the only pose that’s ever brought me to tears—and that honesty is grounding in itself.
What about teaching inspires you?
The practice of Yoga attracts Seekers. Whether someone arrives looking for physical relief, mental clarity, or spiritual connection, there’s already a willingness to be open. The yoga studio becomes a judgment-free zone that prioritizes BEING over DOING, and I’m endlessly inspired by how that simple shift can soften people, empower them, and reconnect them to themselves. Witnessing that transformation never gets old.
What is your favorite Brooklyn hang out spot?
I know it’s a good summer if I make it to Coney Island with a few friends. As a Brooklyn-native, it reminds me of childhood. Coney Island is that rare blend of beach, boardwalk, and history—where immigrant families, local businesses, wide-eyed tourists, mermaids, and everyone in between all share the same stretch of sand. It feels alive, layered, and unapologetically itself—very Brooklyn.
