Sound has been used for its therapeutic qualities for centuries. Participants will be guided through an experience of pranayama, vibration, visualization, and vocalization to prepare for deep listening. You will be encouraged to find a comfortable position, and with eyes closed, take in the sounds emitted from instruments such as gongs, singing bowls, varying chimes and bells, drums, etc. These instruments, intentionally sequenced, create a safe space for participants to enter a meditative state to down-regulate the nervous system and create a sense of ease and clarity.

Florencia Fridman
Florencia is a self-empowerment artist working with heart-opening therapies involving holistic nutrition, Ceremonial Grade Cacao, yoga, sound journeys, and breath work as instruments for transformation; creating a safe vessel for self exploration. Florencia is passionate about supporting the voices of indigenous nations, wisdom keepers, and guardians of the sacred lands. She has studied sound under her Teacher Jay Emmanuel Morales– a sound healer who has been exploring sound to harmonize the body for over 30 years. She has also studied under Mayan elders from Guatemala and indigenous communities of the Ecuadorian Amazon. She has been working with rebirthing (a breathing modality) since the age of 8 with the guidance of her mother and Leonard Or, so pranayama has been a part of her practice since a young age. She became a yoga instructor in 2013 at Laughing Lotus NYC, and has been traveling internationally sharing her passion for Theobroma Cacao through education and ceremony. Florencia ’s classes have a dynamic influence of ancient practices to find a playful sense of transformation. Florencia has opened for Deepak Chopra and facilitated ceremonies for the corporate world at Spotify. She was a ceremony guide resident at The Assemblage in New York City and has shared Cacao at New York University. She is the co-Founder of Cacao Lab, a Ceremonial Cacao brand aiming to bridge the gap between modern culture and indigenous communities. Her mission is to expand the hearts and minds of those who are ready to wake up. Bringing consciousness to the importance of honoring the indigenous traditions and the indigenous communities living these traditions.
