The Studious ONE: Power of The Voice

Tobin Asher loves to play and experiment. He sees his life as a study using creativity as a portal way to gnosis, the wisdom that lies within each of us. Through facilitation, mentorship, and interdisciplinary artistic endeavors, he seeks to co-create environments for self-discovery, deep listening, and compassionate connection. Much of Tobin’s initial creative life was shaped by a love of the performing arts. After time spent exploring academia, journalism, and virtual reality, he found his way back to music through spiritual practice. In 2017, a radical shift in the experience of his own voice showed him what many cultures around the world have known for generations - voice and sound are powerful tools for personal growth and navigating altered states of awareness. Since then, he has traveled globally to deepen his practice and to learn from and collaborate with vocalists from a wide-variety of musical traditions and backgrounds. He facilitates workshops around the United States, as well as in South America and Europe. Tobin’s sound meditaion mentors and voice teachers include David Shemesh, Elian Zach, Alexander Tannous, Rhiannon, Neal Harrelson, and David Jones.
