Do you have mats or towels available to rent?
Mats and towels are complimentary for the OYH community. You are still welcome to bring your own!
Do you sell water bottles?
Yes, reusable water bottles are available for purchase. We have a filtered water refill station for reusable bottles. We also carry water and other beverages for sale.
Can I rent a water bottle?
Not at this time.
Where are you located?
Our address in Brooklyn is 90 Furman Street in Dumbo (Brooklyn), next door to the 1Hotels in Brooklyn Bridge Park. We are accessible via the A/C train (High St), the 2/3 train (Clark St), and the F train (York St). The NYC Ferry stop is also steps away (Dumbo/BBP Pier 1).
Our address in Montauk (Hamptons) is 83 S. Elmwood Ave, next door to Left Hand Coffee and Joni’s.
How long do class packages last?
Class packages expire 6 months after the date of first use. We do not extend the expiration dates.
Can I share my class packages?
You can share class packages amongst family members. Class packages can also be used between locations (Brooklyn and Montauk).
Do you have a lost and found?
We keep anything that we find left behind for 30 days. Please note we are not responsible for lost or stolen items. Please make sure your personal items are secured and leave any valuables at home.
What is the minimum age requirement for class?
The minimum age requirement to take class is 16 years old. If younger than 16 years of age, we will require sign off from a parent or guardian.
Do I need to pre-register for class?
Pre-registering for class is not required but highly encouraged. It will ensure that you are able to get a spot into class, especially peak class times.
The class I want to sign up for is full - can I join a waitlist?
Even when a class is full, add yourself to the waitlist. Upon a cancellation by another student, the first name on the waitlist gets automatically added to the class and you will receive an email notification showing you are off the waitlist. You will then become responsible for attending or canceling as per above.
How long will you hold my spot?
Pre-registered spots are held until 5 minutes before class begins. You must be signed into class by then, or your spot may be given to someone on the waitlist.
What is your return policy for classes?
All class purchases are non-transferable and non-refundable. All packages and classes are activated on the date of first use (not the date of purchase).
What is the return policy for retail?
Returns or exchanges of merchandise are honored in their original condition within 14 days of the original purchase date. Valid only on unworn, unused, unwashed merchandise with their hang tags attached, in its original packaging. We do not accept returns or exchanges from other retailers. If you have a return, but it is purchased from a retailer outside of the studio, please return the items directly to the retailer. Items purchased at a discount are Final Sale. One Yoga House reserves the right to determine eligibility for returns and exchanges and may update this policy at any time without notice.
It’s my first time at the studio - how early should I arrive?
Please arrive at least 15 minutes early to the studio so that you can sign in and get settled in the space.
What style of yoga do you teach?
Do you take cash?
Yes, we take both cash as well as credit/debit cards.
Do you have gift cards?
Yes, you can purchase a gift card in-studio, by phone, or online. Click here to purchase for Brooklyn or Montauk. To redeem a gift card, you can either enter your Gift Card online at checkout, or redeem via phone or in-studio.
My friend and I want to take class together. Can we use one account?
We kindly ask that every client create an individual account to take class.
What are community classes?
Community classes are a donation based, open level class. You may register for these classes the same way as any other offerings on our website.
Do you have lockers?
Yes, our studio has lockers available for use. However we are not liable for your items so please make sure your personal items are secured and leave any valuables at home.
Do you have showers?
No, we do not have showers. However we provide luxury products to freshen up after class!
I am running late - can I still take class?
We have a firm no late entry policy as to not disrupt the class in session. We have the best interests and safety of the entire group in mind. Though you will forfeit the class credit, a donation will be made to the Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy (Brooklyn classes) and A Walk on Water (Montauk classes) in the amount of the cost of class.
Can I leave class early?
If you need to leave class early, please tell the teacher before class begins. Put your mat at the back of the room, and exit quietly before Savasana (the last 5 minutes when everyone is lying on their backs).
Can I bring my phone into the practice room?
No. Please shut off your phones/Apple watches or put on do not disturb.
