Expect a dynamic, Iyengar-inspired Vinyasa flow experience that is intentional, fun, and guided by the rhythm of the breath.
We ease you into the practice, allowing time for your body to adapt to movement and the temperature of the room. No class is exactly the same because no teacher is exactly the same, but our house style utilizes the breath, focuses on precise alignment, and incorporates yogic gaze (an action called drishti in Sanskrit) to create a modern yoga experience grounded in tradition. Flow with us, at a temperature that’s right for you.
*Vinyasa Flow classes in the Dumbo studio location are offered at three different temperatures – Room Temperature, Warm, and Hot.
The Fiery ONE:
Our warmest flow, meant to detoxify the body and elevate your heart rate. The Fiery ONE is a heated (90º–100º) open-level Vinyasa flow class powered by radiant infrared panels and an air purification system that minimizes airborne dust, pollen, and germs to create a draft-free, odorless, natural, energy-conserving heat. Expect lots of movement with a focus on alignment where students are challenged both physically and mentally. Best for students accustomed to hot classes. Note: Infrared heat only in Brooklyn location. (65-75 min)
The SULTRY One:
Heated, but not too hot. The Sultry ONE is a warm (80º–90º) open-level Vinyasa flow class powered by radiant infrared panels and an air purification system that minimizes airborne dust, pollen, and germs to create a draft-free, odorless, natural, energy-conserving heat. A great way to introduce yourself to a heated class and experience the benefits of infrared heat. (65-75 min)
The Chill ONE:
A room temperature, open-level, Iyengar-inspired Vinyasa class that is intelligently sequenced and challenging both physically and mentally, but at a slower, sweeter pace to ease you into the practice, allowing time for your body to adapt to movement. Expect a rigorous flow (with modifications to suit all levels), but at a cooler temp than our Fiery ONE and Sultry ONE classes. Don’t worry, you are sure to break a sweat by building heat from within. (65-75 min)
The Restored ONE:
Yin + Restorative
A chance to slow down and restore. Yin + Restorative yoga incorporates props to support you in passively held postures for a sustained period of time. This practice helps to lengthen connective tissue and fascia throughout the body to enhance range of motion in joints and regulate the nervous system to support emotional and physical recovery. Benefits include deep relaxation, improved sleep and digestion, and faster muscle recovery. Suitable for all levels. (65-75 min)
The Conscious ONE:
Yoga Nidra, or psychic sleeping, is a guided meditation practice that allows the body to experience a sleep-like state while the mind remains alert and awake. This state of consciousness is known for its restful, rejuvenating, and stress-relieving qualities. Suitable for all levels. (45 min)
The Still ONE:
A moment of mindfulness in your busy day. Strengthen your energy channels and still the mind through pranayama with other students in the ONEYOGAHOUSE community during a led meditation session. Suitable for beginners and experienced meditators alike: come as you are. (30 min)
The Studious ONE:
Taught by Senior Teachers, a Master Class is an opportunity to dive deeper into your practice through an extended asana practice that incorporates more advanced postures and anatomical education. For teachers and students with a rigorous practice. (90 min)
The Communal ONE:
Taught by 200-hour teacher training graduates who are completing a mentorship at ONEYOGAHOUSE, a Community Class gives you an opportunity to support our newest teachers for a discounted rate. (30 min)
The Therapeutic One:
A class that will combine precise alignment of asanas with gentle flows that encourage movement with the breath. In this class, we will integrate the ancient traditions of yoga asana with the modern science of anatomy to explore the capabilities of our bodies, the steadiness of our breath, and the quietness of our minds. (65-75 min)
The Expecting ONE:
Our prenatal class is a space for moms-to-be to breathe, move, and connect. Guided with knowledgeable instruction, these classes use yoga, pranayama, pelvic floor awareness, and mindfulness exercises to address the specific needs of the pregnant body and prepare it physically and emotionally for birth and postpartum. Women at all stages of pregnancy are welcome, and no prior yoga experience is necessary. (65 min)
The Little ONE:
Yoga isn’t just for grown-ups! Our special Kids’ Yoga class is hosted by Yogie Land, a kids’ musical yoga adventure for ages 6 months to 8 years old, that incorporates storytelling, live original music, and immersive puppetry. (45 min)
Yogie Land and ONEYOGAHOUSE also team up to host birthday parties for your little ones!
Reviews from you
From the moment I arrived, I felt a sense of warmth and welcoming. The classes are challenging but fun; the sequencing is creative, and at the same time, it just makes sense and feels so right in my body. I learned a lot and appreciate the individual time and attention. I felt really happy all weekend long, like the best version of myself.
Anna [ONEYOGAHOUSE founder], is the most wonderful and caring yoga instructor. She approaches each session with genuine warmth, wisdom and happiness, and creates a safe space that is full of love and light. She gives so much personal attention and encourages me to test my limits and go deeper and deeper into my practice. Anna is always smiling and radiating love and I leave class feeling open, spiritually engaged, inspired and full of life.
The studio is fantastic --the soft colors, billowing curtains, and overall aura immediately set the right tone. All of the teachers have their own style, and I especially love the attitude and energy they each bring to the experience
...the teachers are also warm and welcoming, and regardless of your level you will walk away feeling renewed, challenged, and happy. OYH is such a beautiful and natural extension of this community.
Every teacher has a unique voice that creates a unique practice. Underlying these individual styles are some serious roots, though. Our teachers utilize source material from established lineages and traditions
