Melissa is a lawyer and a yoga teacher. She has spent time practicing law and has spent time practicing yoga, and now has found a natural and organic means of forging a connection between the two. She’s an attorney at a cannabis/psychedelics/wellness firm. Her passion and dedication to interconnecting the two worlds is what continues to propel her practices forward.

Melissa has completed 500 hours of teacher training at Yoga Shanti. In addition, she completed the 200-hour program at Yoga Vida, as well as the 75-hour Yoga Vida Mentorship Program under the guidance and support of her mentor and good friend, Jamie Lugo. She has found her own path through the light shared with her.
She teaches an open-level, music-driven vinyasa class, where our bodies guide our movement and our minds. I look forward to moving with you on the mat soon!

Best advice you've ever been given?
Pema Chödrön says, “We think that the point is to pass the test or overcome the problem, but the truth is that things don’t really get solved. They come together and they fall apart. Then they come together again and fall apart again. It’s just like that. The healing comes from letting there be room for all of this to happen: room for grief, for relief, for misery, for joy.” While, of course, this isn’t advice I directly received from Pema, it is her words -these words- I find myself coming back to time and again.
