In addition, Yuki completed a 36-hour Level 1 Yoga for Arthritis and Chronic Pain training as well as Fundamentals of Thai Massage at Integral Yoga NYC. She also completed Reimagining Alignment – Anatomy Workshop with Leslie Kaminoff at Yoga Works Soho.
Yuki found yoga to heal. She began her practice at Jivamukti Yoga Studio NYC after a diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis rendered her physically and emotionally debilitated. The yoga practice was also integral in restoring her body and spirit during recovery from breast cancer.
Yuki’s teaching style is athletic, ashtanga-inspired, and musically charged, but most importantly, accessible and fun! She hopes to create a safe space where students can find empowerment and freedom in body and mind.

Favorite Brooklyn Hang Out Spot?
Brooklyn Bridge Park post yoga is pretty much my number one.
What are you most passionate about outside of yoga?
Plants! I find growing and nurturing plants very meditative and grounding. I also love tactile creative pursuits – watercolor painting, ceramics, goldsmithing – they all get me into a flow state for hours at a time.

What about teaching yoga inspires you?
