I’m immensely grateful for the opportunity to build a community rooted in the teachings of Yoga. This practice has empowered me to channel my energy towards more love, peace, joy, and connection.
I’ve had the privilege to collaborate with some of the most incredible brands who have made it their mission to empower the communities they serve. They give educators and studios like mine the support and tools to be at our best. The support has been multifaceted – and what stands true is how they lead by example. These partners are not leaders in the industry simply because they have achieved higher market share or higher-than-expected revenues. It’s because they focus on their people, growing them into the leaders that they already are. They have built trust with their customers through great products and high standards of excellence. Then there’s the best part, the unsaid expectation that we pay it forward. Not by telling or forcing, but by modeling. They care about equity, inclusion, and connection, and have that roll-up-your-sleeves, speak to your communities, grassroots mindset… That’s the true impact. They don’t rest because they have simply increased shareholder value. That’s so yesterday. They are authentic, not because they say they are but because they–and all of their stakeholders– know WHO they are. And what they stand for. And where they are going.
Be true to yourself, always. Fuel your passions towards what you want to build: keep challenging yourself, be curious always, keep going outside of your comfort zones, make better mistakes, have fun learning
I truly don’t have the words to share the meaningful impact that lululemon and their incredible NYC team have brought to me personally as a small business owner over the past year–in the past planting seeds, in the present watching our visions materialize, and big dreams of our continued partnership in the future. You have inspired us at ONEYOGAHOUSE to pay it forward. Our initiatives may not come easy, but they are worth pursuing. There are no limits with you, and it’s been such an honor to be a New York City Ambassador. You coined it first and it has such a bigger meaning than I ever imagined. It happened at the right time, in the right way, in the right place, under the right circumstances. I’ve been a repeat witness to how the success of our community is measured by the success of our collective spirit. _
lululemon and team: Thank you for your partnership, and the inspiration.
And one more thing. I, like many of you out there, who may feel more comfortable being on the sidelines than being in the spotlight, I see you. Take that introvert power and keep supporting others while also diligently working to get a little bit better every day. That’s a superpower.
Be true to yourself, always. Fuel your passions towards what you want to build: keep challenging yourself, be curious always, keep going outside of your comfort zones, make better mistakes, have fun learning, get creative at problem solving, know that failures lead to growth, resilience, and YOUR definition of success. Surround yourself with those who support you, challenge you, and help you face your fears to fulfill your potential. Know that you already have ALL that you need within yourself.
Our co-branded lululemon ONEYOGAHOUSE core collection is a classic representation of two brands united by a common collective.
I hope you love it as much as we do.
with love, Anna
Anna Haddad is a yoga teacher, entrepreneur, and the Founder and CEO of ONEYOGAHOUSE, a New York-based yoga studio with locations in Brooklyn and Montauk. She has been a student of yoga since 2000, when she found the practice as a complement to her taekwon-do training. Yoga quickly became the one thing in her life that allowed her to tune in instead of out: at the time, she was working a demanding job in finance. Led by her intuition to open her heart and awareness, she left her job on Wall Street and completed her 200-hour teacher training at Pure Yoga in 2012.
