ONEYOGAHOUSE

While the past couple of months have given new meaning to the idea of uncertainty, what is certain is that there is hope to be had among all the loss. As the spread of COVID-19 has turned life as we know it upside down, it has also presented us with an opportunity to re-evaluate how we want to move forward. There is nothing like a pandemic to expose the cracks in our foundations. Although it’s easy to feel as if we’re drowning in this collective grief we’re all experiencing, we can also take this time to reflect on what is working and what isn’t in our lives.

Let’s focus on finding more joy in our lives, practicing gratitude for what we have, and being kind to ourselves when we’re struggling. Change is never easy, but with it comes hope for a better and brighter future.

It’s daunting to face what may seem like insurmountable challenges during this time, but it can also be a chance to reset or start anew. We’ve seen how the planet is responding to these challenging times. In fact, it is the silver lining in this crisis.

As pollution levels drop and the air tastes sweeter, Mother Earth has stopped waiting for us to take action and is healing herself. It’s almost impossible not to hear the birds singing in celebration. The world may be on pause, but that hasn’t stopped spring from gracing us with its beauty. Like the planet, this is the time to prepare for our own rebirth. As we slowly emerge from our socially distant cocoons, let’s make sure we’re tapping into our best selves; realizing the dreams we want to fulfill; and creating lives that nourish us, the people we cherish, and the planet upon which we live. Let’s focus on finding more joy in our lives, practicing gratitude for what we have, and being kind to ourselves when we’re struggling. Change is never easy, but with it comes hope for a better and brighter future.
